Closing of North Camden Street
N. Camden St., from E. Wilson St. to Cedar St., will be permanently closing this weekend.  The closing will take place between Sunday (May 13) evening and Monday (May 14) before 8:00 am.


Wingate Summer Fun Festival
Wingate's Summer Fun Festival will be held at Wingate University's Campus Lake on Saturday, June 16 starting at 3 pm!  The event will end with a fireworks display beginning at 9 pm.  Live entertainment will be provided by Too Much Sylvia.  Food and fun will be available. 
From 3 until 6 pm, contestants will compete for the title of "Wingate Idol."  In order to participate in the "Wingate Idol" Competition, individuals must submit an application and audio or video recording before Monday, June 4 to Melody Shuler at Wingate Town Hall.  Applications can be send to PO Box 367, Wingate, NC 28174 or emailed to melody.shuler@wingatenc.com.  Click here to print the "Wingate Idol" application packet and for more information about the Festival.


Tip411
The Wingate Police Department has introduced tip411, a new anonymous method of communication.  Residents can now text anonymous tips to the police department.  
 If you have information that the department should be aware of, send a text to tip411 (847411).  Your text message must begin with WINGATEPD followed by a space and then your tip.  If immediate assistance is needed, please call 911.


Recyclebank:  NEW! Computer Terminal
A computer terminal has recently been setup at Town Hall to assist customers in registering for and accessing Recyclebank accounts.  For assistance and to begin earning rewards, please stop by Town Hall.  Our operating hours are Monday through Friday 9 am until 5 pm.

Sewer Rate Increase
